Meanwhile, in Crosbey - a "Run for the Roses Social Hour" took place on Saturday, May 4th.  Again, big hats with lots of flowers seemed to dominate the fashion scene.  Enjoy the pitcures below...

Nordic Pole Walking at New Pond Village

The latest exercising craze at New Pond has hit the ground, "walking".  Led by Excella physical therapist, Karen Swan, the group is thriving and growing by the day.  Residents are not only learning the benefits of becoming more physically fit - but their posture is improving as well.  Below are some photos from our recent pole-walking activities as well as the graduation from training.

April Showers Theme Dinner

We are a little late posting this, but the pictures are too beautiful not to share!  We hosted an April Showers Theme Dinner on Thursday, April 18th which was kicked off with a delicious dinner served by our talented Dining Services team. The Aldridge Dining Room was serenaded by the familiar music of our favorite accordianist, John Rampino while the Crosbey Dining room enjoyed the sounds of the strolling harp played by harpist Skye Hurlburt.

Following dinner, all guests were invited to come to the auditorium for decadent desserts, cocktails and musical entertainment.  The desserts were an assortment of macaroons, meringues and petit fours from French Memories Bakery in Sharon, MA.  Richard Travers played the piano while a silent version of "Singin' in the Rain" was shown on the big screen.

The Masters at New Pond Village

In honor of the annual golf tournament, we decided to have a viewing party at New Pond Village complete with "holes-in-one" (Dunkin' munchkins), Arnold Palmer's (iced tea and lemonade) and of course, "Club-house Sandwiches".  A fun time was had by all!

Indian Culture Day at New Pond Village

We had a fun-filled day back on April 5th starting with the talented Kristen Lee who came in to demonstrate her Henna Art.  We served delicious hummus from Trader Joe's as well as falafel and, of course, wine.

Following our Henna Demonstration, we hosted Sabrina Tarulli of Quincy who performed the ancient art of Belly Dancing for us and even had some residents up and dancing!

A fun day was had by all!
