SNOW-MAGEDDON, SCIENCE MUSEUM AND SUPER BOWL!

It's been a busy few weeks around here!  While many of us hoped and dreamed that winter would spare us this year, as it turns out, we instead got enough snow for an entire year in just a week's time!  Although it can be cumbersome, we are New Englanders - and we know snow.  Here at New Pond Village we have learned to celebrate the beauty of the snow and give thanks to the devoted associates that spent countless hours helping to remove it and/or staying overnight to ensure that resident care did not experience any changes due to the weather.

The birds were happy we installed the feeders in the spring!
All bundled up!
It's really piling up out there!
Associates joining in on the fun during winter storm Juno
What storm?

Dining Services never stops - even when the snow is taller than the associates!
Jo Zagieboylo (L) and David Marascio (R) celebrate with their trophies as the resident and staff winners of the pool tournament
Andy weathered the storm by streaming Netflix movies on his Kindle!
The beautiful aftermath...

The snow covered roads were no match for our fearless bus  driver Mary and we all enjoyed our trip to the Museum of Science to view Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed.  Fortunately for us, many people DID stay home and the museum of science was quiet and empty - a perfect day for indoor exploring.
A beautiful view of a very still Boston...

Super Bowl Sunday was a nail biter of a game and residents celebrated our home team with a party hosted by Vibrant Living Assistant, Marilyn Murray.  Marilyn put out a gorgeous spread complete with shrimp cocktail, deli sandwiches, pasta salads and more! Three cheers for Marilyn (and the Patriots!) - a job well done!

That's all for now - we will see you again in March!
