Happy New Year!

2015 was a wonderful year at
our community and we can't wait
to see what 2016 has in store!

Enjoy our photos below of recent
Holiday and New Year's Celebrations.

On Friday, December 4, a large crowd enjoyed "Christmas at the White House" performed by Patricia Perry of Sneak Peek Productions. Patricia walked us through the grandeur of the White House at Christmas time, allowing everyone to experience an old-fashioned American Christmas. From Presidents past, we looked at decorations, trees and ceremony through pictures, words and music.

Holiday celebrations continued in Aldridge House with cookie and gingerbread house decorating...

Sgt. Daniel Clark, The Singing State Trooper, alongside his wife Mary, delivered "A Holiday Extravaganza".  The program included seasonal favorites mixed with military salutes and patriotic songs dedicated to the men and women who have served our country. Thank you to Dan and Mary for a spectacular afternoon that got everyone in the holiday spirit!

There were lots of laughs during Sgt. Clark's version of Mr. Grinch!

Boo got a real kick out of being serenaded by The Singing Trooper!

New Year's Eve Eve is a favorite tradition among the residents and this year did not disappoint. The dance floor was full the entire evening with David Burbank and his orchestra playing all the favorites on our stage. Bob Hill and the New Pond Village kitchen staff prepared a delicious buffet including shrimp cocktail, hearty fruit and cheese platters and scallops wrapped in bacon.  Marilyn worked hard from behind the bar to ensure that everyone had a drink or two and dancers from the Metronome Ballroom in Bellingham kept everyone's dance card full.

Wrapping up 2015

Greetings! I must apologize for not keeping up with the blog from September through November, I was at home on maternity leave with our newest addition, James Martin.

I'm grateful that I have wonderful assistants who managed to keep things running smoothly and take some photos while they were at it! Many thanks to Marilyn, Annie, and Mary for all their hard work this fall - I don't think anyone appreciates it more than me!

I'm happy to be back at work and promise to keep the blog updated as well as the delivery of the monthly calendars. The pictures below are some of many that capture the highlights from the autumn and early winter season.

Enjoy!

We are proud to honor our veterans with a cocktail hour followed by a delicious luncheon. Following the lunch we welcomed Dr. Gary Hylander who spoke about the origin of Veterans Day.

THANKSGIVING

Annie did a wonderful job decorating the Aldridge lobby for Thanksgiving

The Annual Thanksgiving Celebration was celebrated on Sunday, November 22.  So much food was collected for the Walpole Food Pantry this year that they had to pick up our donation boxes three separate times! Many thanks to all who donated as well as the Thanksgiving Celebration Committee.
