Sunday Music Festival:
The Lamb-Panitch-Thompson Trio
With a core of toe-tapping dance tunes and songs from the Appalachian mountains, the trio combined fiddle, cello, bass, and voices to create a uniquely vibrant set of harmonies. All three members of the trio earned Masters of Music in Contemporary Improvisation from New England Conservatory.
Fraud and Scam Prevention

Waltham Police Officer Jon Bailey
Calling on his many years of experience with telephone, computer, and mail fraud, Officer Jon Bailey explained how to avoid becoming a victim to room filled with both residents and associates. The program was both educational and entertaining as Officer Bailey carefully inserted a bit of tasteful humor, lightening-up an otherwise tense presentation. All who attended were given books on preventing identity theft with detailed instructions on how to proceed if it does happen. Additional copies of the book are available in the Vibrant Living Office for anyone who may have missed the program. Many thanks to Officer Bailey for his time and efforts.
Home Opener
It's become a tradition here at New Pond Village to gather together for the ceremonial opening day at Fenway Park. Everyone got into the spirit with Red Sox apparel as they enjoyed hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn and Cracker Jack. As for the Red Sox? So what if they didn't win the game, Big Papi's daughter surprised him by singing the National Anthem and with that, she won the hearts of all of Boston.

Chamber of Commerce
Flavors Event
On Thursday, April 14, Executive Chef Bob Hill showcased
his now-famous Lasagna Soup at the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce Flavors
event at Dimitri’s in Foxboro. New Pond Village was well represented by
Bob, Bill McGinley, and many associates who were there to represent New Pond as
well as sample the wares of over 30 local restaurants and food establishments.
Although there were no formal awards, most agreed that Bob’s soup was worthy of
the “Best in Show” ribbon. Congratulations to Bob and the dining team and many
thanks to Dave Marascio and John Curtin for their assistance with transport and
set-up. It was great night enjoyed by all.

The Kris Pappas Band
The repertoire was overflowing with audience favorites including, "I've Got the World on a String", "New York, New York", and "Mack the Knife" just to name a few. When residents immediately ask "when are they coming back?!", we feel it's safe to say the evening was a success. Check out the brief clip below from their performance on April 21st.

On Thursday, April 28, we journeyed to Salem for a guided visit of the Asia in Amsterdam: The Culture of Luxury in the Golden Age exhibit. With the sun on our side, we then traveled to Brothers Taverna for lunch and ran into a REALLY old friend along the way...
