ANNUAL INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Each year on the Sunday before the 4th of July holiday, residents are treated to a seasonal buffet alongside music from our favorite accordion player, John Rampino. Many commented on the delicious food and patriotic decor. Many thanks to the hard work from the kitchen and dining staff and to Vibrant Living Assistant, Anne Cavalieri for her decorating skills!
GOLF ON THE VILLAGE GREEN, NATICK
Golf on the Village Green in Natick is a true reminder of the freedom trail and carries and educational and patriotic theme. The natural setting with quaint and easy to navigate landscape provided a pleasant backdrop for a day of miniature golfing.
CIRQUE US PERFORMS
Cirque Us! is a brand new, modern circus based in New England with artists from across the country. The July 13th program at New Pond was only their fourth live performance and we all felt fortunate to witness their ambition and determination. The young group of eight college students displayed their many talents (despite our low ceilings!) as inventive acrobats and quirky clowns jumped, flipped and juggled their way across our stage. Be sure to check out their website for more information and future tour dates at www.thecirqueus.com
PAWTUCKET RED SOX GAME
On Friday, July 15, residents boarded the bus to watch the Pawtucket Red Sox beat the Charlotte Knights in a 2-0 victory. It was a beautiful night for a ballgame and we were even treated to a fireworks display at the end of the game!
CAPE COD CANAL CRUISE
On Thursday, July 21 residents set-sail for a 2-hour sightseeing cruise along the Cape Cod canal after enjoying lunch at the Quahog Republic located conveniently across the street. Live commentary was provided during the cruise which highlighted special points of interest along the way.
LUNCH AT MILL WHARF, SCITUATE
With panoramic views of the harbor and fried clams that one resident claimed "melted in my mouth", the Mill Wharf Restaurant was a perfect choice for an afternoon lunch on the water. We are especially grateful to the staff for accommodating our group during their very busy summer season.
